Video Night 2011 Story

Tonight we had a special – Video – night!

Here’s a little summary of how it went for those who missed it and for the guests.

The theme for our meeting today, Nov. 7, 2011 was “PERCEPTION”.  That often times how we perceive what we do – typically that it doesn’t “measure up” – is often different than how others perceive us – which can often be in a better light than we do ourselves. The beauty of the camera is it shows you as you are – it can’t be critical, judgmental, flattering or unflattering – it simply shows what it sees.

We had it all

The first portion included openings and Table Topics.

Hassan delivered an impressive Educational Speech on effective use of body language for successful speaking.

The second portion included SPEECHES!

Speeches were 2-3 minutes long that were video recorded. Maude kindly recorded all the speakers, then connected camera to the TV and played 20-30 second portions of each speaker speeches. Then evaluators provided brief evaluations. The whole group shared their comments.

In conclusion, speakers reflected back and described their perceptions on how they did and shared valuable takeaways they received.

Wait – pictures speak a thousand words

Let our photos will tell you the whole story of how everything went!
